i've actually attempted to post a few times since my first post, but haven't been successful for whatever reason...
but here i am now!
and i'm watching the pac10 tournament champtionship with my bruins playing the cal bears. we've been up the whole game, but it's pretty close. as long as we keep playing tough and start making more of our shots we should be ok. we're up 47 to 39 right now, so i'm a happy camper. but a lot can happen in 10 minutes.
i almost got to go to the game itself...roommate eric's girlfriend is a game manager for the football and basketball teams, so she hooks it up with free tickets more often than not. hot damn. what a fun game to watch in the good ol' stapples center. damn our team is good. it's so great to watch us actually play good basketball. i'm not saying we're gonna win a national championship or anything, but we are a force to be reckoned with!! heck yeah!
on another note...
so this past thursday night the good old bruin woods kids hosted a fraternity-style raid. we were bused over to fu's palace, a popular dingy/sketchy venue host to many a greek function due to its delicious eggrolls, long island iced teas and a flaming clam drink. it was a wonderful evening full of dancing, drinking and socializing with people who we hadn't seen in awhile.
the best part of the night was the theme: jim turner used to be the camp director, but was mysteriously fired after this summer. so in his honor, the theme of the evening was "jim turner's new job". the costumes were fantastic, and i was particularly proud of mine:

the roomies.

me.
i dressed up as one of the guys who stands on the corner of le conte and gayley flipping a sign to go get people to buy the new condos at club cali, a former apartment building home to many our our shenanigans last year. fun times. needless to say, thursday was terrific. people kept telling me i make a really hot guy. ummm, thank you?
